As a designer for Nourison's collection books, I contributed to end-to-end design and production of one of three annual publications. Each book spans 160-260 pages and features our latest rug collections, including all relevant information and imagery. I collaborated closely with the Art Director of Marketing and a team of two designers to ensure the entire process runs efficiently from start to finish.
Below is an outline of how I managed the process:

  • Collaborate with the Art Director to develop layout systems that aligned with the brand standards and marketing goals.

  • Designed multi-page spreads, balancing product photography, typography, and negative space for clarity and impact.

  • Select and curated images that showcase the beauty and craftsmanship of our rugs, making sure they truly reflect the vibe of each collection.

  • Implemented revisions in collaboration with other designers on the team, Art Director, VP of Marketing, and import team, ensuring all feedback was incorporated while maintaining design consistency.

  • Cross-check all information in the books by reviewing it multiple times with different team members to ensure all the details are accurate and nothing is missed.

  • Coordinated with printers and prepared press-ready files, ensuring precise color, typography, and layout consistency.

  • Supported both print and digital editions, including QR code integration for online product access.
